Natural remedies for blackheads

FotorCreatedThis time of year can lead to stressful breakouts and other skin problems. It’s important to treat skin effectively. Sometimes, drugstore products can be helpful, however it might be better to use ingredients you have at home.

Here are my top three do-it-yourself treatments to fix blackheads.

Create a mix of honey and lemon juice. This is considered to be one of the most popular blackhead removers. Honey works wonders for the skin, especially to get rid of acne and blackheads. Applying organic honey to your skin once a week can get rid of stubborn acne. For blackheads, mix some lemon juice with organic honey. Lemon juice helps clear your skin as well as brighten it, which is perfect for winter.

Mint toothpaste is your solution for troublesome blackheads. Apply a layer of toothpaste on your nose and leave it until it’s dry. Wipe it off using a wet washcloth. Repeat this process twice a week. This is an inexpensive treatment as you already use toothpaste on a daily basis.

Baking soda mixed with water is another inexpensive treatment for your skin. Create a paste-like consistency with the baking soda and water. Leave it on the problem area for 15 to 20 minutes before washing it off. You can repeat this process more regularly (three times a week) for best results.

Aside from these at-home remedies, there are other ways to prevent blackheads. For example, eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet filled with rich nutrients will help keep your skin healthy, which will prevent future skin problems like blackheads.
